In my area, mullein has some of the biggest leaves you can find; I often use them as cooking wrappers (wrap a fish in wet leaves, tie with yucca fiber and bake in the coals, delicious!) Yes, it makes...

do not use the seeds though ..they are large and round .I had one growing in my perennial  flowers last year ..sort of next to some volunteer tobacco plants ..all left for butterflies and hummers ....

I did not know that the Mullein seeds were toxic...thanks for that information.You are right, the seeds from one stalk could start a large patch.

I just found that out myself earlier this fall . Had no idea they were before ..but never had a inclination to eat them .But I have collected it for tea....and have thought of using it for TP....

Definitely use it fresh if you use it for TP (speaking from experience here). And luck saved me from using it "against the grain" I guess.... It just looked so soft and fuzzy (as opposed to smooth...

Have we mentioned yet that the stalks make good hand drill spindles? Thanks for the info on the toxic seeds...I have wondered if they were edible, they're pretty big seeds and there's lots of them.

LOL!~! I collected some stalks intending to use them for fire spindles...they had huge long tops ..I think every seed came up in my flower bed...LOL!~!but they do dig out easily young and thse that...
